Read a line. Speak your mind. Read the corrections.
The whole app is one short loop you can do in three minutes a day. Here's what happens each time — and why it works.
Warm up in the Shadow Column
A passage scrolls line-by-line like lyrics. Read it aloud in time and your pace, rhythm and pronunciation settle before you improvise. Optional, but it makes the next step far easier.
Speak for 60 seconds
Spin a topic and talk — no script. We transcribe every word, catch each filler and pause, and check whether you actually made a point, gave a reason and landed a conclusion.
Do a drill, then retry
You get one small drill aimed at your biggest weakness. Do it, record the same topic again, and the corrections box shows your before/after in plain figures.
Two ideas from language research, made simple.
Shadowing — repeating speech in time with a model — is one of the most effective ways to build fluency and prosody. It trains your mouth and ear together, so pace and rhythm become automatic.
Deliberate practice — targeted repetition with feedback — is why the retry loop matters. You don't improve by speaking once and reading a number; you improve by fixing one thing and doing it again.
Put together, they make a simple daily habit: read to warm up, speak to apply, correct to lock it in.
What we mark up.
Plain figures and levels — never a mystery number out of 100.
Do the loop once — right now.
Spin a topic and speak, or read a passage. First five rounds are free.
